1914-1918
by Paddy Storrie
St George's School, Harpenden, 2004, no ISBN
During the Great War 78 Old Georgian's served, 17 were killed and 23 were wounded or invalided out. All five students who held the post of Captain of School (Head Boy) between 1909 and 1914 were killed at the front.
This book contains much information on the students that were killed, with photographs, and will be of interest to anyone connected with the school, particularly if a relative was at the school at the time.
There is a web page for Harpenden and also for St George's School
