Postcards published by Valentine's Library, Harpenden
The following series of postcards of Harpenden were published by Henry Valentine, Stationer, High Street, Harpenden, (1912 Kelly's Directory), probably shortly before the First World War. His cards are not to be confused with nationally important postcard publisher, Valentine & Sons Ltd. of Dundee.

=========================

The above card, of sheep on Harpenden Common, was posted in 1904. It is labelled "H. Valentine's Series" - presumably Henry Valentine, of Harpenden, as the major postcard publisher later known as Valentine and Sons, simply marked their cards "Valentine Series" at this date.
