High Resolution digital images of selected out of copyright postcards and prints can be supplied in return for a small donation (three images for a minimum of £5.00) to the Herts Mind Network.

The default size will be to a maximum of 1024 by 768 pixels maintaining the aspect ratio of the original, but higher resolutions may be possible on request - depending on the quality of the original.

Where appropriate minor blemishes - such as corner damage or minor creases will be corrected. Major damage will be notified before a scan is supplied.

Scans of some 18th or 19th century maps (centred on a place of your choice if appropriate) are available

I have many postcards and engravings that are not yet shown on this web site - so please ask. A few of the older postcard on the web site were prepared some years ago (with an old-fashioned display) and have inadequate contrast when viewed on modern displays.. These will be rescanned to produce better quality images.

Copies are not provided where the source is still in copyright - which means that I cannot supply high resolution images from modern books.

Arrangements for donations: Donations should be made electronically to the everyclick web site. This collects the money from your account (for all major currencies), claims Gift Aid if appropriate for UK donations, transfers the money directly to Herts Mind Network, maintains the total donated, and makes a very small service charge. All my time and services are given free and I have nothing to do with the financial side. However it is hoped that if I am involved in extra work this will be reflected in your donations.

In addition to running this web site I also take photographs when walking my dog Franki in the Tring area - including parts of Buckinghamshire. Many of these have been posted on Geograph under the name "Hertfordshire Chris". High resolution images of many of these can be supplied - and I have other local images not yet posted on Geograph. As long as the mileage involved is not excessive it may be possible to provide photographs of buildings, gravestones, etc., to order - with an increased donation to cover the notional extra costs. (Despite my extra costs I will make no claims on the charity.)
