An Accident in Ashridge Park

LITTLE GADDESDEN

ACCIDENT TO MR ALLISON, -- On Saturday evening, as Mr. Allison, of the Bridgewater Arms, was driving to Berkhamsted Station with a party of visitors from London to meet the last up train, he met with a serious accident on the road in Ashridge Park. By some means he drove on to the bank and upset his passengers, and the vehicle was broken in two. Mr Allison's left leg got entangled, and the horses bolted and ran towards the lodge gate, where it was stopped. It was afterwards found that the leg was badly broken and serious injuries were otherwise inflicted. No one else appears to have been injured. Last year Mr Allison met with an accident, where the same leg was broken. We understand that he is progressing.
