Further work at the Station

Notes

When the Railway opened in 1873 John Brown was quick to build the Harcourt Arms and would almost certainly have been the strongesy mover to get Station Road built, to speed the journey from the station to the town. It seems likely the William Brown could have been involved as estate agent in negotiating the acquisition of land, etc., for the road. The firm's brief history says that William has a free train pass because he was  one of the first people to buid a house in Station Road (some 20 years later) buy I suspect he was more likely to get a pass for ensuring the road was built.

Another railway related advert, selling off the materials left near Cheddington station after building the railway, possibly related to the Aylesbury branch line.
